When the radio receives a fm stereo broadcast, indicator lights up brightly in an orange color. Pushing the left knob changes program, and will also change automatically once program is finished. This radio is in super mint, 100 working condition. I have tested the radio and it works very well by picking up many stations on both fm am frequencies.
Please feel free to contact me if you wish have this work done as well. The dial and tape player illuminates green whenever headlights are turned on to match color of dash gauges, as original light bulb is still working perfectly. The white is crisp and clean looks great.
Cosmetically the stereo is in near perfect condition, as it looks brand new, and can be easily installed into a show or museum car.
The original decal tags are still attached to side and back of radio chassis, both look nearly new. The capstan and head were cleaned, speed of tape was correctly adjusted. The push buttons also work very well and push in easily.
The chrome silver trim line on both face plate and dial is bright stands out beautifully. There is a brand new rubber belt that was just installed to give you many years of future usage. The memory settings on push buttons work great as well.
All four speaker channel outputs produce clear and strong sound output with no outside noise or distortion. Although not an official option, this radio will also fit and work perfectly into the 1979 Cadillac Seville elegant as well.
The am fm selector switch has an excellent dark black color to it and is not heavily worn down. All of the chrome buttons have super mint with no pitting, peeling, or heavy scratching chrome, and is very bright. The face plate overall is also in near perfect condition as it has a excellent shine with no scratches or fading.
The factory gm part for this radio is, which superseded earlier of original grease pen marking are also very clearly visible on top chassis. The sound was very clear and presentable with no garble or distortions. The tape door is also in great condition, as dial lens clear with no cracks or scratches, and black paint excellent chips scratches. The correct original Cadillac gold and chrome crest outer knobs inner are included in super mint condition.
