In 20 years, I have only ever seen one other set of these for sale bid early.

The left side is very strong however it has numerous holes rusted through it. It could be fixed with fiberglass laid up on the inside of this bracket and no one would ever know it has the small l shaped bracket on the top side that keeps the removable hood side panel from rattling.

It has the same 3 original cage nuts being 5 16 x 18 threads and it also has one cage not tapped out to 3/8 x 16 threads the left side fender bracket is a different story no problem with installation at all. These bolt to the right and left side of the cowl with 2 bolts. This is a pair of 1940 Chevrolet passenger car front fender brackets.

Bid often these brackets have the cage nut attached to the bracket.

Three of the 4 mounting cage nuts are x 18 threads. I have purchased Chevrolet parts on and at swap meets for years now.

Let's start with the right one first. It has serious rust pits on the parts that do not show when it is installed one of the cage nuts has been tapped out to 3/8 x 16 threads the last picture was taken without the flash on my camera.

Rare as hen's teeth. No problem here either these brackets are being sold as is and at no reserve. I had a small flashlight shine into the left bracket, so that you can see the various holes in this one bracket only.
