Review GMC Tube Type Volt Truck Radio fits 1955–2012

The GMC radio you're interested in is a vintage gem, hailing from the iconic year of 1959. This is a 12-volt tube radio, model number 2233480, that was originally installed in GMC vehicles from the year 1955.

The radio's design is a testament to the elegance and craftsmanship of the mid-20th century. It features a sleek, rounded chassis with a wood grain finish, giving it a warm and vintage aesthetic that would complement any classic car or truck dashboard. The radio measures approximately 16 inches wide, 7 inches tall, and 6 inches deep, providing a substantial yet unobtrusive presence in your vehicle.

In terms of functionality, this GMC radio is a powerhouse. It boasts an AM/FM tuner, allowing you to enjoy a wide range of radio stations both locally and across the country. The radio uses tubes for amplification, delivering a rich, warm sound that is characteristic of vintage technology. The tuning and volume knobs are large and easy to use, even while driving, and the speaker is powerful enough to fill your vehicle with sound.

This GMC radio is more than just a functional piece of technology; it's a piece of automotive history. Installing it in your vehicle is a great way to add a touch of vintage charm and character to your ride, while also providing you with a reliable and enjoyable listening experience. Whether you're cruising down the highway or just running errands around town, this 1955 GMC radio will be a constant companion, delivering the classic sounds of the past with every tune.

4. Sound quality: Old radios often have a warm, rich sound that modern electronics can't replicate.

With proper care and maintenance, a vintage 1955 GMC radio can be a valuable and enjoyable addition to your vehicle.

Details:

It looks dirty from a long storage. Please feel free to ask questions. This I think fits Gmc, but not 100 sure. Former owner said it worked when he pulled it out many years ago.

There is pits in the chrome, but overall looks pretty good.
