Pros of buying a 1968-1967 Buick/Chevrolet with the Sonomatic 7298924 engine:

1. Classic Appeal: These cars are known for their timeless design and retro charm, which can be a great investment in the collector's market.

2. Powerful Engine: The Sonomatic 7298924 engine is a reliable and powerful V8 engine, providing good performance and torque.

3. Affordability: Compared to newer models, these classic cars can be more affordable, making them an attractive option for budget-conscious buyers.

4. Customizability: Older cars offer endless opportunities for customization, allowing you to personalize your vehicle to your liking.

Cons of buying a 1968-1967 Buick/Chevrolet with the Sonomatic 7298924 engine:

1. Maintenance Costs: Older cars require more frequent and often expensive maintenance, such as replacing parts that are no longer manufactured or have become obsolete.

2. Safety Concerns: Older vehicles may not have the same safety features as modern cars, such as airbags and advanced safety systems.

3. Fuel Efficiency: Older cars are generally less fuel-efficient than newer models, which can result in higher fuel costs over time.

4. Availability of Parts: It can be challenging to find replacement parts for older cars, as many manufacturers have discontinued production of parts for older models.

Conclusion:

Buying a 1968-1967 Buick/Chevrolet with the Sonomatic 7298924 engine can be a rewarding experience for those who appreciate classic cars and the unique driving experience they offer. However, potential buyers should be aware of the maintenance costs, safety concerns, and availability of parts associated with owning an older vehicle. Ultimately, the decision to purchase depends on your personal preferences, budget, and willingness to invest in the upkeep of the car.

Recommendation:

If you are interested in purchasing a 1968-1967 Buick/Chevrolet with the Sonomatic 7298924 engine, I recommend conducting thorough research on the vehicle's history and condition, as well as investigating the availability and cost of replacement parts. It may also be beneficial to consult with a knowledgeable mechanic to ensure that the car is in good working order and to estimate the potential cost of future maintenance and repairs. With proper preparation and due diligence, you can make an informed decision and enjoy the classic car driving experience.

Details:

I can tell you it's good in appearance and usually these old radios were fine, merely replaced with aftermarket radios. These units typically work in a variety of model's so other years and model's may apply. At a minimum a great hole filler if you are running a custom audio system elsewhere.

And we combine shipping and handling whee multiple items are purchased. Our thought was even if the radio played on the bench it might not play the following day. Hello friends.

However, look to make sure it is right for your application. Much safer and quicker handling by USPS.

The knob span is about 6 and for example it has a similar contour in the face like a 67 Chevy, Chevalier. A great hard to find part.

This stuff is getting harder and harder to find. Possibly cleaning it would help from the back.

Just a quick note. When we decided to offer radios we made a decision to not claim that any radio worked.

We did this for a number of reasons. It just seemed the safest way to go with most of the radios ranging from years old. Thousands of parts, hundreds of vendors, and none of these. It becomes a problem for us both if you don't.

And that's OK. We'd rather have that then the issues that could come from saying an electronic part works. Before buying.

Don't pass this deal. Only one knob too. I rate this piece a 3 in appearance, on a scale of 1/5 with 5 as the high based on age rarity and condition.

The chrome on the buttons is lifting and the plastic insert for the indicator is a little less than clear. If you bid please pay. Here's the thing.
