The radio was removed, boxed and stored in a bedroom closet since listed incorrectly from 2/5 to 2/8 as a version a gentleman, more knowledgeable about Corvair radios, notified me that it was actually the version. This radio will fit Corvair but is original for this listing is for the same radio but with corrected information.
It appears that three versions of this radio were produced with smooth ended pushbutton with grooves on the end with grooves and a teardrop ridge under the front edge of Corvair am fm radios were the version, so the later versions are especially rare. The production numbers I have indicate 4017, am fm radios, 65 66, 1967 approximately 320, 68 69 based on of total production being equipped with this optional radio. Bench tested, everything works.
Records indicate that the Delco am fm radio, option code u69, was first offered in 1965 and was installed on less than 2 of Corvair.
