The chrome on bezel front is absolutely mint. Both of the inner flat knobs are absolutely correct for this radio, and in nice shape.
This radio fires right up and plays. It has never had any work done to it, and all original parts. Original 1941 Buick sonomatic push-button radios and American made car radios are a thing of beauty when they nice like this one is. The outer radio knobs are not correct for this.
It is missing a few of the case screws, which affects nothing. These are all original gm branded vacuum tubes in this set. I removed all of them and tested them, they are good. The push buttons are not flawless, but real nice.
Is it ready for you to install in your car. The speaker is also good, as vibrator. The radio will need dozen or so 75 year old original wax capacitors in it replaced.
The radio features a copper case, with original brown textured paint on it. I couldn believe how clean it was when first opened up, wan even dirty. This 1941 Buick sonomatic radio, original part number is untouched inside. What is important here that the audio section power and output transformers are good.
The sonomatic nameplate as well plastic plate with numbers are both beautiful.
