There were five known 1966 Ford 8 track tapes produced.

However, what I do have is an extra one of the pc8s 203, which offered here.

The pc8s 186 is marked stereo demonstrator tape, and 206 Thunderbird demonstration. These are extremely hard to find now, especially in working condition.

I have never come across either one in my 40 plus years of looking. This included disassembling the tape case which unlike later tapes takes special tools, cleaning insides, replacing foam pads on all, installing a new track changing splice all were cleaned, lubricated and adjusted, roller replaced if necessary.

These were marked pc8s 183, 185, 186, 203, and 206. While the 1966 and 1967 boxes appear to be same, pc8s number of appropriate tape was printed on each box.

Nor have I ever come across pc8s lower 48 us shipping only Ford family of fine music, C6AZ-18816, original 8 track tape. Only the bottom tray portion of box is included with this tape. All of the 1966 promotional tapes, and majority 1967 came in a white plastic tray type box, with clear sliding cover. You are buying as is, shown.

In late 1967, the box was replaced with well known cardboard sleeve. Included with the tape is a CD of 600 dpi JPEG scans booklet and miscellaneous inserts that came 1966 tapes. The 1966 and 1967 Ford tapes were Lear jet Park tapes, while stylish in appearance compared to later 8 tracks, these had inferior foam rubber on tape pads, which deteriorated after a short time makes one wonder about jets themselves sometimes actually gummed up.
