When the stereo receives a fm stereo broadcast, the stereo indicator lights up brightly in a light green color. The radio will display a led under the on indicator whenever the search mode is switched on. All 5 bands slide easily with no outside noise or distortion, and has strong sound throughout. The digital display lens cover is clear with no scratches or marks. The tapes play very clear with no sound distortions or garble. The seek feature allows the radio to pick the next best received station without turning the knob. The loudness control also works perfectly and gives the radio an extra boost in sound when used with the 5 band equalizer.

The push buttons also work very well and push in very easily, and for storing and recalling the set stations. Cassette player also has a search function which also works excellent. The auto reverse feature also works correctly, with pushing in the top knob automatically plays the other side of the tape the tape will also switch sides automatically when it is finished playing on one side. The tape door is also in super mint condition with no scratches or wear.

This radio will also fit and work perfectly into many other Gm cars and trucks from late 1980 's throughout the 1990 's as well that use the newer smaller harness plug connectors in the back of the radio. The scan feature will do it automatically, staying on each station for five seconds before moving to the next. The capstans and head were cleaned, and the speed of the tape was correctly adjusted.

The correct tape led light comes on for whichever direction the cassette tape is playing. This radio will also fit and work perfectly into many other Gm cars and trucks from late 1980 's throughout the 1990 's as well. This stereo is the factory Cadillac only symphony sound model which has a much better overall sound than any of the stereo systems Gm being offered at the time.

The correct top dash mounting bracket and rear support stud are also included and are currently installed onto this radio however these can be easily removed to be mounted into a different dashboard. The scan indicator will light up for whenever the stereo is in scan mode. The two original belts are still very tight and pliable to give you many years of future usage. The 5 band equalizer also work 100 correctly.

I have tested the radio and it works very well by picking up many stations on both the fm am frequencies. The search function, which when turned on, will automatically advance to the next song or rewind to the beginning of the current song.

The factory Gm part for this radio is the fast forward and reverse switches also works very well, with a quick and quiet motion. This allows you to fine tune the sound to your satisfaction. The original decal tags are still attached to the top and back of the radio chassis, and all look perfect. All of the brushed stainless buttons have an excellent silver color to them with no peeling, heavy wear, or scratching, and is very bright.

The face is also in super mint condition as it has a very nice black matte finish with no heavy scratches or fading. The radio was cleaned inside and out, adjusted and lubed. All of the original light bulbs are also working perfectly simply the picture of the radio being illuminated in the dark to view for yourself. Cosmetically the stereo is in super mint condition, as it looks close to new and can be easily installed into a show or museum car.

The correct original stainless turned Cadillac wreath outer knobs and brushed stainless inner knobs are included and are also in super mint condition. The tape inserts and ejects nicely.
