The Cyaa62B car motorola radio transistor is a NPN silicon power transistor with a TO-220 package. Here are some pros and cons of buying this transistor:
Pros:1. Wide operating voltage range (7V to 36V)
2. High power handling capacity (up to 20A)
3. Low on-state resistance (0.12 )
4. Suitable for various automotive applications such as car radios, power amplifiers, and ignition systems.
5. Affordable price compared to other high-power transistors.
Cons:1. Limited current gain (hfe 15)
2. Not suitable for high-frequency applications due to its low frequency cutoff (fT 1.5 MHz)
3. Requires a heat sink for proper heat dissipation when operating at high power levels.
Conclusion:The Cyaa62B car motorola radio transistor is a cost-effective and high-power transistor that is suitable for various automotive applications. However, its limited current gain and high-frequency cutoff may limit its use in certain high-performance applications. It is recommended to use a heat sink to ensure proper heat dissipation and to check the specific application requirements before purchasing this transistor. It is also advisable to compare the Cyaa62B with other transistors to ensure that it is the best fit for the specific application.
Not sure what it came out of. This appears to be in good shape. Although it very well make work just fine as is.
Came from estate with tons of vintage car radios from the 60's and 50's. My guess is that it will fit many vintage model's inspect pictures close before buying has a part cya62b and a serial number and another number 5814' please do your research and inspect pictures close before buying. But I dont have the knowledge or tools to test so sold as is for parts or repair.
