Details:

The adapter has been removed since then. The radio powers up and it receives stations when an antenna is connected. This radio comes with the original owners manual, specs sheet and warranty card. When sliding the tuning bar manually radio does receive a variety of am fm stations.

This needs to be corrected. I owned this item new and had an adapter riveted to the case so it sat underneath dash on passenger side of my VW beetle back in 1970s. However it cannot be tuned with the tuning knob because gear inside that is connected to not touching bar. There are marks on the outer case where rivets were drilled out in order to remove adapter unit.
