Maybe i'm doing something wrong. Rare vintage Sony XR-57R am fm cassette car radio in good clean condition. But when I put it on the fm station all get is static and scanning freezes. The am channel works perfectly fine and scan button also.
Made in japan I plugged it up, the radio lights speakers all work, clock works, buttons tape deck plays and auto reverse eject button fade, treble, bass, both scan works.
