It is original 6 volt positive ground. Servicing of this radio included cleaning and lubrication, new capacitors and replacement of out of value resistors, great working vibrator, tested tubes, new fuse link with fuse and two working dial lamps.

The radio plays and sounds great with excellent reception and sensitivity up and down the tuning scale with nice working tone settings lo noise, hi Fidelity, music, speech and strong volume. These radios are very hard to Find especially in this very nice restored condition so here is your opportunity to adorn the dash of your classic Ford truck with this excellent example that is ready to install. All of the mechanics function smoothly including the station presets, station selections and manual tuning. Not only does the radio play well but it is in excellent cosmetic condition with very nice correct black knobs, nice chrome push buttons and a clear lens no crazing or checks with crisp white numbering.

This is a rare and very nice restored Ford hi Fi truck radio numbers matching radio manufactured by Zenith model 8mf. There is some age related wear here and there please see pictures but overall the radio is very pleasing to the eye. This is the real deal and not a '49 mercury 9zm 8mm990 or Lincoln 8ml882 hi Fi radio dressed to look like the truck radio.
