The white letters are very legible. As it does not appear to be ever mounted and the antennae port wiring end do seem scraped up. I cannot say for sure this is actually nos. I bought this along with others in a lot that was said to be nos ford parts.
If you know of a quick way please let me and I will check it but by the appearance would lean towards functioning. The chrome is very nice with only light scratches. The lower rubber bumpers are still soft and intact.
It has not been tested for functionality. But I don't have a Mercury so need for it. The buttons change locator smoothly. The metal housing itself looks excellent with hardly any scratches on it and no rust or surface.
It is however missing one knob set. With that being said only a wipe down this thing looks excellent. This is a very nice piece.
