Details:

Unfortunately, I have not acquired my father's knowledge of electronics, so I have absolutely no idea how to test this radio. This radio was in his supply of radio parts and components. So I will have to sell it as untested, and as is.

For sale is a 1936 vintage Philco auto radio, model 817, transitone. It is number N57106. And, it is heavy.

It was left behind by my late father, who was a radio and television repairman for much of his life, and an avid lover of radio. I know it comes with a control head, and i've seen a photo of what it looks like, but I have not come across it in his collection of car radio equipment. Misc it was stored in a dry basement, with my dad's other radio equipment.

So I will have to sell the radio by itself. I'm guessing he pulled it from a vehicle that he retired, and then saved the radio. I have photographed all sides, so that you can judge the condition for yourself.
