It is 57 years old. This unit comes complete with the original under dash locking slide mount bracket keys, speaker wires and owners manuals warranty cards. The inside is super clean and there no wear on tape head. I truly do believe that this player will work with no issues but really have way of testing as 8-track tapes or a power supply.
Vintage nos 1971 Panasonic CX-888SU under dash portable 8 track tape player. I truly believe that this unit has never been installed, used or even hooked up. These players also had separate accessories such as the am or FM slide in adapter for 8-track and a home your stereo that do show up occasionally. If the belt is showing age there replacements available still here on.
All components were still in the original plastics.
